Good points! True – “My Euroblog is Betters than Yours” was, in hindsight, perhaps too provocative a title (it was intentionally provocative – I don’t really believe any of those blogs are objectively better than others; it’s all down to personal taste). It was a way to poke fun at the W-E report, but also a way to let people interact with Bloggingportal without commenting. We were a bit provocative – but it’s been a good debate as a result.

Thank you for the kind messages and I do agree that self-examination is part of the process of…well growing up I guess But sometimes, it’s nice to try to not become too grown up either (and this comes from a lobbyists impersonating as a rhino)

I think that there’ll always be a bit of ego involved in blogging – I think the Euroblogosphere proves this with its periodic bouts of self-examination. But blogging is about variety, so there’s plenty of space for influential/specialised/fun/personal blogs about Europe.
